Did you know the Animal Rescue League of Iowa is Iowa’s largest animal shelter? The ARL not only focuses on helping abandoned animals find their “fur-ever” home, but also works with the pet owners in the community to help keep pets in their home. The ARL provides many services and programs to improve animal welfare through adoption, behavior training, spay/neuter, and much more.
We have turned to the blogging world for many reasons. This platform will allow us to cover events held at the ARL, such as birthday parties, camps, workshops and fundraisers. Covering these events will allow people to see a unique side of our shelter, and the blogging layout will allow easy access to photo galleries, and videos. We will also discuss animal-related issues to help educate pet owners on an array of topics.
We’re also very excited to share some DIY tutorials! Our goal with these tutorials is to improve pet life (or spoil our pets), while simultaneously getting pet-owners more involved. Our DIY projects will be showcased throughout the shelter as they are completed, so please visit our main location to see these creations in person!
